We are excited to host you in the picturesque Humboldt Park

The National Museum of Puerto Rican Arts & Culture is located in the historic Humboldt Park Receptory and Stables. The landmark building is located on the southwest corner of Division Street and Sacramento Boulevard at the western gateway of “Paseo Boricua”, the Puerto Rican culinary, cultural, and entertainment district.

Tuesday – Thursday: 10 AM – 5 PM

Friday: 10 AM – 4 PM  

Saturday: 10 AM – 2 PM

Admission Price - FREE!

We take pride in truly being a community museum, open to all community residents and visitors. Consistent with this spirit, we do not charge admission. We rely on the support of generous donors and contributions to help us keep our doors open and accessible to all visitors regardless of their ability to pay. Donations are always welcome.

COVID-19 policies

The health and well-being of our visitors and staff is our priority, and we continue to follow government guidance to help reduce the transmission of COVID-19.  While visiting the Museum we kindly request that you:

    • Wear a mask (this is not required, but recommended). However, depending on COVID rates in the City of Chicago, we reserve the right to require a mask.
    • Be mindful of others’ space
    • Stay home if you are experiencing any COVID-19 related symptoms
    • We reserve the right to require visitors who do not follow our guidelines to leave the premises immediately. 
Group Tours/Field Trips

We offer docent-led group tours of our grounds, permanent and temporary exhibitions all year round.  Tours must be scheduled 7 business days in advance.

  • A group consists of 10 + people.
  • Group tours must be booked 7 days in advance.
  • School or Camp Field Trips must complete the Group Tour form.
  • *Docent-Led Tours are $50 | must be paid 5-days before the trip.
  • Group tours are only conducted during hours of operation.
  • Docent-led tours are about 1-hour long.
  • Only field trips can request the art project add-on. We do our best to accommodate art project requests, but it’s based on staff availability – not guaranteed. 
  • A staff member will confirm your group visit request in 2-4 business days.
  • We cannot accommodate Groups/Field Trips of 50+ at the same time. They must be booked for 2 separate time slots. For example 100 students, reserve a slot for 10am and another for 12pm.

Field Trips or Group Tours

All year round, we offer docent-led group tours of our grounds, permanent and temporary exhibitions. All groups of 10 or more must complete this form. All group tours or field trips must be scheduled 7 business days in advance. We cannot accommodate groups of 50+ at one time.  Two separate time slots must be reserved for groups of 50+. Allow 1 hour for the tour. Field trips with art projects will take 2 hours to complete.
