David Torres is a Chicago-based accountant and the founder of D Tax People, an award-winning accounting firm that has served the Chicagoland area for over 28 years. With more than 3,500 clients across 26 states, David brings decades of experience helping individuals and small businesses build strong financial foundations.
A bilingual professional and graduate of North Park University, David has spent the past 25 years working closely with artists through the Miracle Center, a community arts incubator rooted in Chicago’s Puerto Rican community. There, he has guided creatives in establishing businesses, managing their finances, and navigating taxes. Drawing from both professional expertise and real-world experience, David is passionate about helping artists gain clarity, confidence, and control over their financial lives so they can sustain and grow their creative careers.
