Puerto Ricans in Illinois Book Talk

Saturday, March 15, 2025

We are proud to present Puerto Ricans in Illinois by Mauro Toro-Morn and Ivis García.

Join authors Maura Toro-Morn and Ivis García as they delve into the stories and insights from their new book, which explores how Puerto Ricans in Illinois have carved out their own “pedacito de patria” (little piece of home) amidst both opportunities and challenges. Through engaging discussion, they will illuminate the paradoxes of the Puerto Rican experience in Illinois.

This event promises to be a meaningful exploration of identity, resilience, and community.
