Have you ever wanted to learn more about Taino history, and present-day activism in Puerto Rico and throughout the Diaspora?

Join our Curator, Anaís Cezanné Caro in conjunction with our ¡Taíno Vive! Exhibition, to participate in a bi-weekly book club where she will dive into the amazing book written by Sherina Feliciano Santos: “A Contested Caribbean Indigeneity: Language, Social Practice, and Identity within Puerto Rican Taino Activism.”

Book Club Time: 11 AM – 12 PM

Feliciano Santos’ writing and research is incredibly captivating, moving, and well-done! Anaís is excited to get to know you, share space, cafecito con quesitos and talk about our thoughts on the book, and on Taino activism and presence!

The intimate book club will culminate in a talk with the author on Sat. April 27th where guests will be able to hear directly from and engage with the author herself!

Your book will be available for pick-up starting, Saturday, March 2, 2024 from 10am – 2pm at the National Museum of Puerto Rican Arts and Culture and during our regular business hours (Tuesday-Friday: 10am – 5pm)
