Celebrate Puerto Rican excellence at the 2026 Raíces Gala!
NMPRAC will present the prestigious National Ceiba Award to legendary composer and musical director Ángel “Cucco” Peña, actor and singer Anthony Ramos, and acclaimed actress Justina Machado.
We will also present Lifetime Achievement Awards to Mary Santana, Executive Director of The Miracle Center, and Orlando Rivera, Executive Director of the Chicago Cuatro Orchestra, recognizing their 30 years of service to the arts and Chicago’s youth.
This historic evening will include the official presentation of NMPRAC’s American Alliance of Museums accreditation by AAM President Marilyn Jackson. NMPRAC is the nation’s only AAM-accredited Puerto Rican museum and only the fourth Latine museum to earn this distinction.
🎶 Live performances by Los Pleneros del Callejón and Alpha Berríos from Puerto Rico, and Chicago’s The Chicago Cuatro Orchestra, Noa García, and The Caribe Project.
